To manage the procurement of goods, works and services in order to achieve value for money and facilitate smooth operations. (The position is at Head Office, in Ndola)
Key Responsibilities
Procurement: Oversees effectively the planning and procurement of goods, works and services in order to meet end-user requirements.
Reporting: Ensures timely reporting on procurement of goods, works and services in order to comply with the Law and facilitate Board and Management decision making.
Contract Management: Co-ordinates effectively Procurement Contract Management in order to ensure adherence to contractual obligations and timely delivery of goods, works and services.
Performance Management: Oversees the implementation of performance management systems in order monitor and evaluate performance and develop remedial measures.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with procurement law and internet processes.
Document Preparation: Supervise the preparation of bidding document for the procurement of goods, works and services.
Supervision: Supervises effectively the utilization of Human, financial and other resources in order to facilitate achievement of the said objectives.
Minimum Qualifications
Full Grade 12 School Certificate
BSc / BA in Purchasing and Supply or equivalent
Member of Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply (ZIPS) / Procurement and Supplies Professional and Technician Board
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to prepare technical and analytical reports
excellent oral skills
excellent critical thinking and computation skills
strong supervisory and team working skills.
Minimum Experience Required
Minimum of 8 years work experience with 3 years at Management Level
