Job Description

To undertake the planning and monitoring of pipeline operations in order to facilitate implementation of interventions and efficient utilization of the pipeline system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operations Planning: Undertakes effectively the planning of operations for the entire pipeline system in order to ensure its efficient utilization.
  • Maintenance Tracking: Undertakes effectively the tracking of all maintenance planned & corrective works in order to determine the performance of maintenance units against stipulated plans. 
  • Monitoring & Evaluation: Undertakes timely monitoring and evaluation of the pipeline system performance in order to determine its status and facilitate interventions
  • Production Equipment Utilization: Undertakes effectively the tracking and interpretation of production equipment usage data in order to enable their optimum utilization.
  • Refinery Feedstock Monitoring: Undertakes effectively monthly refinery feedstock reconciliations in order to ensure that the right quantities of feedstock are delivered to the refinery
  • Spare Parts: Undertakes effectively the consolidation of spare part requirements in order to facilitate their procurement. 
  • Condition Monitoring: Undertakes condition monitoring of production equipment in order to evaluate their working condition.
  • Research & Development: Undertakes timely research and development of new ideas in order to ensure continuous improvements to pipeline operations. 
  • Quality Control & Assurance : Undertakes effectively the monitoring and evaluation procedures and projects in order to ensure conformity to laid down procedures and international standards.
  • Operations & Maintenance: Undertakes timely revisions, improvements and implementation of operations and maintenance procedures in order to keep them current
  • Shutdown Works: Undertakes effectively the consolidation and monitoring of pipeline shutdown jobs in order to ensure their timely funding and completion.
  • Full Grade 12 Certificate
  • BSc in Engineering or equivalent 
  • Member of the Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ)
  • Ability to prepare technical and analytical reports, 
  • Excellent oral skills
  • Computer Design skills
  • Excellent critical thinking and computation skills
  • Strong supervisory and team working skills.
Minimum of 3 years' work experience
