Job Description
To undertake welding works on the pipeline and associated installations within the Zambia Region in order to facilitate efficient transportation of the petroleum product.
Key Responsibilities
- Corrective maintenance: Undertakes timely, welding works during the repair of pipeline leaks in order to secure the refinery feedstock
- Pipeline Inspections: Undertakes effectively, the periodic inspections and maintenance of the pipeline and accessory equipment in order to facilitate maintenance works and ensure their working order.
- Equipment Maintenance: Undertakes effectively maintenance of welding equipment and machinery in order to ensure their working condition
- Tools and Materials Custody: Maintains effectively the safe keeping of spares and tools for the section in order to prevent loss and damages
- Records Keeping: Undertakes timely, the compilation and storage of maintenance documentation in order to facilitate accountability.
- Housekeeping: Undertakes regularly, cleaning and maintenance of the work sites in order to eliminate hazards and ensure safety of staff.
Minimum Qualifications
- Full Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate
- Craft Certificate in Welding and Metal Fabrication or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- Able to communicate in English
- Able to explain matters in writing
- Manual dexterity, Team working skills
Minimum Experience Required
- Minimum of three (3) years relevant work experience
