To undertake the Accounting for assets, Inventory and project accounting in conformity with company systems & procedures and generally accepted accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities
Asset Management and Inventory Accounting: Undertakes effectively accounting, coding and reconciliations of all company assets, spares and Inventories by keeping an up to date Asset Register (in liaison with Head Office) in order to safeguard company assets.
Miscellaneous CWIP: Participates effectively in the management of Miscellaneous Capital Works In Progress in order to facilitate timely capitalization of completed projects.
Accounting Records: Undertakes effectively and timely the preparation and storage of accounting records in order to facilitate their retrieval.
Account schedules: Prepares regularly reconciliation of schedules for assigned general ledger accounts on monthly basis in order to ensure correct entries and account balances in the financial statements
Advance payments Accounting: Undertakes timely reconciliations of advance payment accounts in order to provide management with information on unaccounted for prepayments and make corrective decisions.
Minimum Qualifications
Full Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate
Part Two of ACCA / CIMA /ZICA or its equivalent
Member of Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA)
Preferred Qualifications
Computer literate
Ability to write comprehensive reports; oral skills; initiative; and interpersonal skills.
